Privacy Policy

Keepsake Pass (“the app”) is an iPhone app made by RUI, an individual developer. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes.
Accounts and analytics
The app has no account. The developer collects no analytics, does no tracking and shows no ads.
Passes and photos
The passes and photos you create are stored on your device and synced through your own iCloud (a CloudKit private database). The developer cannot see them.
On-device processing
The following happens entirely on your device, and nothing is uploaded for it:
- Recognising text in e-tickets and setlists
- Reading a photo’s date and location (EXIF)
Pass signing
Apple Wallet passes must be signed. To sign a pass, the app sends the pass’s manifest of file hashes to our signing service encorepass-sign.rui.cv, which returns a signature. Your photos and text are not sent.
Companion copies
- Only when you choose “Send to companions” for an event that is not more than 30 days past, the companion copy (a .pkpass including its card image, title, date, venue and note; no seat or memo) is uploaded to our server (Cloudflare).
- The server keeps the copy until 30 days after the event so that companions’ Wallets can fetch updates, then deletes it. It is also deleted when the owner deletes the pass.
- Companions’ devices register with the service using Apple Wallet’s standard push token. These tokens are stored only to send update notifications and are deleted with the pass.
Apple services
- Place search and nearby-place lookup use Apple Maps. Apple’s privacy policy applies to these requests.
- Purchases of Pro are handled by Apple. We receive no payment data.
Notifications
The app uses local notifications only, created on your device.
